Spring Rain

Day 24

I just can’t get in to this prompt. So once again I will go off on my own.

I hope you like it.

Spring Rain (Acrostic)
Spring rain falls down upon the sleepy winter earth

Pulling from the depths of it

Remaining seeds of last autumn’s retreat

Into the sky these seeds reach

No longer restrained by seed coat or cold earth

Gripping firmly to their rebirth in Spring.
Remembering their path of old

Among the tulips so red

If the gardens don’t tell

No secrets are lost in the end.

A Stick And Some String

Day 19

A Stick And Some String

I wonder how the idea of crochet came about

Did they try and try and fail and pout

Makes you wonder how they came to ponder

that one would even try to conjure

Why they would persist at anything

With a little stick and some string

My Minds Eye

Day 18

My Minds Eye

Was looking for some memberies

When I was conkatose.

Dreamagining that I could

Flapify my wingerflippers

In my minds eye

I was aware of swoopflapping

And I could see me sleepnoozing

In the bed with a snigglemuse on my face

I flew away frolicsome

In my minds eye

Batty

Day 17

Batty

The fluttering sound of their wings

Go by in the night with other things

Diving after their dinner

Catching a tasty morsel is a winner

Bats only come out at night

And they dance in a gossamer flight

Their wings are light but strong

Sometimes their night flights are long

The bat swoops down to catch its meal

And in turn it makes you squeal

It comes so near

Do you want to hear

Listen.

Bat Sounds

Retrograde

Day 9

Retrograde

It brings me closer than I thought it might

Been feeling strange and not like myself now

These retrogrades moving at speed of light

Bowling me over like it was a plow

Not letting me move with usual grace

Just hoping I don’t lose my faith and trust

Wishing for room a bit of breathing-space

There are some things I’ll have to readjust

And maybe use a little Angel dust
